Upright
Things turn. That's it, that's the card, and it's more useful than it sounds. Some of what's happening to you is not about you. Not everything is a lesson, not everything is earned, and some seasons are simply the wheel being where it currently is. The skill isn't stopping it. The skill is knowing where on it you're standing.
Reversed
Resisting the turn. Or believing you're owed a particular position on the wheel because you were there before and you behaved well.
Its correspondence
Jupiter — expansion, luck, the largest thing in the neighbourhood. Jupiter enlarges whatever it lands on, which is wonderful when you're up and instructive when you're not. This is the planet that makes the turn feel bigger than the facts strictly justify.
How it's usually misread
It isn't fate telling you to be passive. The wheel turns; what you do while it's turning is entirely yours.
Knowing the card isn't reading it
Every entry on this site is free, and always will be — meanings are the easy half. The hard half is what a card does in a position, next to another card, for a real question. Learn to Read is the lessons for that, plus a practice partner that critiques your interpretations — $111, once.
Or read this card in your hand: the deck is all 78 drawn the way you see it above.
