XIJUSTICE

Justice

consequence · truth · balance · accountability

Upright

Cause and effect, arriving on schedule. Not punishment — consequence, which is neutral and doesn't care how you feel about it. This card asks the flat question: what did you actually do? Not what did you intend, not what were the circumstances. What did you do, and what did it set in motion.

Reversed

Avoiding accountability, or the reverse — punishing yourself far past anything the situation deserves, which feels like integrity and is actually just a different way of not moving on.

Its correspondence

Libra — balance, weights, the scales it's literally holding. Libra gets written off as indecisive. It isn't. It's the sign that refuses to answer before it has weighed the thing properly, which in a world of instant opinions is close to a superpower.

How it's usually misread

It's not karma in the pop sense, where the universe personally arranges revenge on your behalf. It's simpler and less flattering: actions have results.

Knowing the card isn't reading it

Every entry on this site is free, and always will be — meanings are the easy half. The hard half is what a card does in a position, next to another card, for a real question. Learn to Read is the lessons for that, plus a practice partner that critiques your interpretations — $111, once.

Or read this card in your hand: the deck is all 78 drawn the way you see it above.
