No. Sit down. It's not that. I have read this card more times than I can count and it has never once meant that somebody died. Not once. If a reader tells you otherwise they're performing, and you should keep your money. What it actually is: something in your life ended a while ago and you're still doing the choreography. Still showing up. Still watering a plant that's been plastic since March. The ending already happened — you're just the last to be told. Look behind the figure. There's a sunrise. There always is, and everyone misses it because they're busy panicking about the skeleton.

You know. You've known. The gripping isn't stopping the ending — it's stretching it out and making it hurt in instalments.

Its correspondence

Scorpio — which surprises nobody, but not for the reason people think. Scorpio isn't dark. It's the sign that refuses to look away. It walks into the room everyone else is avoiding and turns the light on. That's this card exactly. It doesn't cause the ending. It just declines to keep pretending with you.

It does not predict a death. It never has. Anyone who tells you it does is either frightening you deliberately or repeating something they saw in a film.
